[59] Mahurin was taken prisoner by the British after the Battle of the River Raisin on 22 January 1813. Most captured prisoners were killed by the Indians shortly after so his death is assumed as of January 1813. Estate was filed March Court 1813 in Shelby Co., KY The Battle of the River Raisin is also known as Frenchtown.
